Narvik IK is the northernmost club competing in Norway’s top ice hockey division and one of the pioneers of the sport in Northern Norway. Founded in 1962, the club has steadily grown from a regional team into a respected EliteHockey Ligaen competitor while representing the Arctic city of Narvik.
The team plays its home games at Nordkraft Arena and is recognised for its blue, black and white colours. Narvik are known for their hardworking, physical style of hockey, strong team spirit and disciplined defensive play. Competing in the challenging conditions of Northern Norway has helped shape the club’s resilient identity.
Narvik earned promotion to Norway’s highest division after winning the First Division and has continued to establish itself against the country’s traditional hockey powers. The club has become an important ambassador for ice hockey in the Arctic region while investing in the development of local talent and the long-term growth of the sport.
