Frisk Asker is one of Norway’s oldest and most respected ice hockey clubs, based in Asker, near Oslo. The club’s ice hockey section was established in 1935 and has developed a strong tradition of competing at the highest level of Norwegian hockey.
Known as the Tigers, Frisk Asker play their home games at Varner Arena and are recognised by their distinctive orange, black and white colours. The team traditionally combines disciplined defensive structure with quick transitions, aggressive forechecking and technically skilled attacking play.
Frisk Asker have won multiple Norwegian championships, including national titles in 1975, 1979, 2002 and 2019. The club has also claimed several regular-season titles and has consistently remained among the leading teams in Norway’s top division.
With a proud history, a strong local identity and an established player-development system, Frisk Asker continue to play an important role in Norwegian ice hockey.
