Lillehammer IK is one of Norway’s most historic ice hockey clubs, founded in 1957 and based in the famous Olympic city of Lillehammer. The club has played a significant role in the growth of Norwegian hockey and remains a respected member of the EliteHockey Ligaen.
Lillehammer play their home games at Kristins Hall, an arena originally built ahead of the 1994 Winter Olympics. The team is recognised for its red, blue and white colours and has built its identity around disciplined team play, strong skating, and one of the country’s most productive youth development programmes.
The club enjoyed its greatest success in 1994 by winning the Norwegian Championship shortly after the Winter Olympics, defeating local rivals Storhamar in the playoff final. Since then, Lillehammer have consistently developed talented Norwegian players while remaining a competitive force in the country’s top division.
With a proud hockey tradition, passionate local support and a commitment to developing future talent, Lillehammer IK continue to be an important part of Norwegian ice hockey.
