IHM Discussion
The decision restores Zündel to the day-to-day training environment only; no further playing or contractual arrangement has been specified. Still, the move gives the Graz99ers an immediate reconnection with a defenceman whose September exit had attracted attention because of his popularity among the club’s fanbase.
Jerich’s public wording makes clear that Zündel’s relationship with the organisation has not been treated as closed, despite his earlier release.
Why It Matters
For Graz, Zündel’s return to training is a significant change in a situation that appeared settled a month earlier. It also offers supporters a tangible sign that a well-liked former player remains linked to the club, even though the precise terms of his renewed involvement have not been outlined.
