IHM Discussion
The reported switch would take a central figure from JYP’s leadership group to Sweden. Lassila’s output last season established him as a high-end Liiga scorer, while his captaincy at 22 underlines the responsibility he already carries within the Jyväskylä club.
Örebro would reportedly be adding a centre with recent top-level domestic production and international experience across Finland’s junior programme. For Lassila, the SHL would represent a move abroad after his emergence with JYP.
Why It Matters
Lassila’s possible departure would be significant for JYP because he contributes at centre, wears the captain’s C and has been among the club’s key players. His 58-point regular season and current scoring pace show the scale of production attached to the reported move.
It would also place another young Finnish centre in the SHL, should the transfer be confirmed.
