IHM Discussion
The immediate issue for HC Bozen is a short-term reduction in defensive options rather than a confirmed long-term absence. Buono has been part of the club’s ICEHL squad throughout his first season in South Tyrol, and his four assists show that he has contributed offensively from the back end.
There is no indication of how long he will be away, so the situation remains open-ended. HC Bozen will need to manage without one of their available defencemen until Buono is able to return.
Why It Matters
Even a temporary absence can test a club’s defensive depth during an ICEHL campaign. Buono’s 12 appearances mean HC Bozen are missing a player who has already been involved regularly this season, while the uncertainty over the length of his absence prevents any clear timetable for his return.
