The forward will return to a competition in which he has previously played regularly and produced strong offensive numbers. Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia HC is also a familiar setting for Schlekmann, who has played there in earlier seasons.
The loan offers Schlekmann an opportunity to regain game time and rediscover the attacking production that has been absent during his ICEHL spell so far.

IHM Discussion
This is a reset built around opportunity rather than a permanent change of direction. Schlekmann has found no route onto the scoresheet in 14 ICEHL outings, and the temporary switch returns him to a league and club environment where he has previously been productive.
For Ferencváros, the move separates his immediate development needs from the demands of an ICEHL campaign. For Schlekmann, the focus is straightforward: use regular action in the Erste Liga to rebuild offensive momentum. His previous familiarity with Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia HC should remove some of the adjustment normally involved in a mid-season loan.
Why It Matters
Schlekmann’s move is notable because he remains part of Hungary’s wider senior international picture. A productive spell in the domestic league would give him a chance to re-establish the scoring touch that did not arrive in his first 14 ICEHL games this season.
The loan also gives Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia HC a forward with previous experience at the club and international pedigree, while avoiding any suggestion that the move is a final separation from Ferencváros.
