IHM Discussion
The schedule offers a broad cross-section of the competition: Finnish, Norwegian, German, Polish, Danish, French, Czech and Austrian clubs are all involved, while Eisbären Berlin bring the status of reigning German champions into their meeting with Salzburg. Every fixture carries the same basic value in a Regular Season format where the available places are limited to 16.
The evening also places established domestic champions on the road. Dynamo Pardubice travel to Bordeaux as Czech Extraliga champions, while GKS Tychy visit Mannheim as Polish champions. Herning Blue Fox’s trip to Cologne gives the Danish newcomers another opportunity to test themselves in the competition.
Why It Matters
The slate contains several cross-border tests between clubs from different domestic leagues, including Salzburg against Berlin and Bordeaux against Pardubice.
