IHM Discussion
The loan moves Farkas from the ICEHL to the Erste Liga after a short opening spell with Ferencváros. Four league appearances gave the young defenceman an initial taste of multinational top-flight hockey, but he had not played in either of the club’s two latest fixtures.
Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia HC provides a different setting in which to continue his season. The stated intention of the move is for Farkas to receive more responsibility and more regular ice time, while remaining in a competitive league environment.
Why It Matters
For Farkas, the loan is an opportunity to build a larger body of senior game experience after his move from SaiPa U20. His early ICEHL record is limited to four games, so the switch gives him a route to seek regular involvement rather than remaining outside the line-up.
For Ferencvárosi TC, the arrangement temporarily moves a young defenceman who had not appeared in the past two matches.
