IHM Discussion
The extension gives Kladno an early piece of continuity around a forward who has delivered from the moment he arrived. Audette and Ojamäki made an immediate impact after their moves from Kloten, and their production has continued into the current campaign.
Plekanec’s comments place clear value on Audette’s contribution, while the player’s own remarks underline his comfort at the club. With an option extending to 2029, Kladno have also retained flexibility beyond the initial extra season rather than limiting the agreement to a short-term commitment.
Why It Matters
Keeping Audette under contract removes uncertainty around one of Kladno’s principal attacking contributors. His place among the league’s top 10 scorers, alongside Ojamäki, makes the deal significant for a club seeking to preserve the productive partnership established by the two arrivals.
The timing also matters. Audette’s future has been resolved while the season is still under way, and Kladno have followed their extension with Czech international forward Jakub Konečný by securing another key forward.
