Story Summary
Mario Elvenes has left the door open to a future move to Rögle while enjoying a prolific start to the season with Växjö.

A move abroad cannot be discounted either. There has reportedly been considerable interest from Switzerland, with Lugano linked to a move for Elvenes next season.

IHM Discussion
Elvenes has given a measured answer rather than signalling an imminent departure. His comments establish Rögle as a meaningful personal connection, but he also stressed his contentment in Växjö and his focus on producing a strong season.
That focus has been backed by his early output. Eleven assists in six matches account for the bulk of his points, underlining how strongly he has begun as a creator as well as a scorer. With his contract nearing its end, that production naturally gives added significance to his future options without confirming any next move.
Why It Matters
Elvenes is currently setting the pace in the SHL points race, so his contractual situation is relevant both to Växjö and to clubs monitoring the market. Rögle have been publicly acknowledged as a possible destination by a player with a direct youth-system connection to the club, while the reported Swiss interest adds another potential route for next season.
